anyone own a 300ex with a 350x engine

im doing this converstion i have the engine and oil cooler whating for the harness and cdi. now i got the engine in the frame but the mount in the top rear sticks out to far and keeps it from fitting.now i need to know if it needs to be shaved to fit.

You have to cut away a portion of the engine mount on the engine with a hacksaw.
The trick is cutting it square only at the exact mounting point. From there, you angle the cut further to clear the bracket off the frame. Cutting it straight entirely will leave you with an oil leak.
Some of these conversions you find do not have the engine cut because most "kits" come with the proper bracket to replace the one currently on the frame.
But when building your own kit,..you are left with a choice,...and cutting the engine is easier and has been the popular choice for years.
