K&N warrior
#2
As far as I know, Warrior airboxes have never changed. K&N does make replacement filters for the Warrior, but the design is still crappy. ProFlo makes an adapter kit, complete with a clamp-on filter. But at $99, it's kind of a rip-off. If you work at a machine shop, or have a buddy who does, it's easy to make your own custom mounting flange, to accept a clamp-on. A K&N won't make any perceptable noise difference, in my opinion, and I can't say for sure how much HP, if any, will be gained if you're still using the stock exhaust.

Oh, you mean the kits that come with the jets and all? That's a good question. The Warrior has seen three different carburetors throughout its lifetime, so it's possible that the jets on a 1989 carb are slightly different in design than the jets K&N supplies today. If you forget about the K&N power kit, it's really all the same, if you change over to a new air filter, and order a larger mainjet from somewhere else.

In RockyMountain mag, they only say 92-01 under power kits. If I were you i would go to www.knfilters.com and e-mail your question.
