STOLEN 440EX RECOVERED AFTER 2 YEARS!
#1
Just got my decked out 440ex back last week. There is suprisingly little damage and everything on the quad is pretty much how I left it. Now I'm making sure this quad never gets stolen again. The ceiling in my garage is just over 16' and I'm working on a winch system that will raise the Honda all the way up to the ceiling, keeping ot safe from thieves.

wow thats amazing you got it back.
I only..lock the shed, (cane bars that go into cement ) then use that braided steel cable and wrap both together going through both frames and up into the rafters.
Takes a whole 2 minutes to lock it up like this and even less to unlock so I guess its worth the effort.

congrads. had my 07 raptor 700 stolen and got it back after 4 months. its such a good feeling.i am now thinking about putting low-jack on it. that way if it gets stolen i will have a very good chance to get it back right away.

Man it feels great to get this thing back! Last wekend, I stripped it down, cleaned and inspected every square inch of it and all the damage consists of is just a broken grab bar (end of the subframe), a few broken bolts on the valve cover, broken ignition, broken body bolts and they spray painted it black. Took me a few hours but it's good as new!
The real expense was in impound fees. See you're supposed to be informed immediately if your stolen vehicle is recovered but i guess thats not how it works with the Gary police department. Get this........I got the paperwork in the mail on the 5th of August stating that it was recovered.........I was estatic!>>>>>until I got to the police department. THEY RECOVERED IT ALL THE WAY BACK IN MARCH! 5 MONTHS WORTH OF IMPOUND FEES! That works out to just over $3500.00 but due to the state limit of $1500.00, thats what i had to pay.
How fair is that? My quad sits in jail 5 times longer than the black piece of **** that stole it and was riding it.
