Kodiak rack on a newer Wolverine?
#1
It's my understanding that the new Wolvy was built using a Kodiak frame. Has anyone tried putting a rear Kodiak rack on a newer Wolvy? Was this frame shared by any other models?

I read somewhere a while back that the wolverine actually uses the bruin frame, just the kodiak motor. Not sure how true this is though, I have both out in the garage...I guess I could go compare them.

I got the frame info from here:
http://atv.off-road.com/atv/ar...eDetail.jsp?id=303708
"The Wolverine is not a totally redesigned model from Yamaha. This unit is quite similar to the Kodiak before IRS. Same frame and same engine, but due to a few changes, the unit now weighs in at 75 pounds lighter, which translates into a more efficient ATV."
So I figured some stuff from a Kodiak might fit the Wolvy...

Well I just checked with the Yamaha parts catalogclick here and it shows a 2004 kodiak is different than the wolverine 450.

They do look different, but the tail piece looks similar. I'm going to visit some dealers and see what I can find out. The GYTR rack doesn't appeal to me and I was hoping for something bigger than the CMP one. I looked at the stock Kodiak rack online and I have a feeling the Wolvy's fenders stick up too high for it. Right now I'm wishing I knew how to weld.

The GYTR rack was a good rack I had one for about 6-8 months and it did its job, but I wanted a little bigger rack so i am going to try the CMP racks as soon as they arrive here. Hopefully today or the beginning of next week.
