Default Polaris Trail Boss 325 Rear Brakes

Just bought two Trailboss 325's(01' & 02'). They are very low hours and in great shape. Except the rear brake does not work. That is the rear brake foot pedal provides no stopping force. THe hand lever works and it actuates both front and rear as I understand. But I would like to have the rear pedal working.

Anyone have any ideas? Is this common on these models? I have a buddy with a 330 and it has the same issue.

Thanks in advance.

its common on alot of the polaris models. the back brakes set up sucks. if there not used alot like over the winter they tend to lose pressure. you can try to bleed them alot (making sure not to empty the small resiour) or i used a heavy weight to set on my brake pedal over night and brought some of the use back. just an idear.

Surprisingly mine has worked fine. You can try to bleed them, but you may want to do the whole system.

Or you can do like I finally did on the wife's trail blazer. Accept that it just isn't gonna work.

Polaris will tell you the rear brake is only an assist, and should not be used to stop the vehicle. So technically, it's not a rear brake pedal, but a rear brake pedal decoration.

just bleed bleed bleed & when they go soft again bleed bleed bleed.
make sure u keep the fluid right up to the max!!! make sure your
rear pads are not worn, there is a min. thickness on them. both my
quads have had the rear foot pedal work for over 2 years & will lock
up the rear tires!! hang in there it takes time & effort
