my 01 warrior sputters and back fires when you give it gas. I unplugged the neutral switch(I think that is what it is called) on the clutch lever perch and pushed in the toggle on the wire and the engine runs fine. What is the function of this switch and how do you repair or defeat this. It seems to be an intermittent problem. Any help is appreciated

take the switch right off, it causes more problems than anything.

that's the parking brake switch, remove it completely, unplug the wires from the harness... 2 plug into each other than the 3rd hangs put a parking brake block off plate on the brake caliper and ditch the rest
