Witch Snow Plow to Should I buy? 06Rubicon!!
#1
I'm starting to look for a snow plow for my 06 Rubicon, and have hit a wall. I like the looks and design of the Moose Country plow but am having trouble finding a place to buy it on line. I have also looked at the warn plows and cycle country plows does anyone have an opinion on them possible the prows and cons. I saw an add in one of the ATV magazines a couple of months ago talking about a new Warn plow that was coming out that had power angle, have any of you seen this? Power angle would be very cool!!

I bought a Warn plow from Cabelas. It came complete with mount kit, push tubes and plow. I use a 60" and a winch. It's well made. I plow trails around an 80 acre plot and it has held up well. I have replaced the wear bar 1 time in 6 years.

I just recently came upon the "Kimpex Click N Go" plow system. I am strongly considering it but have yet to find anywhere to show me the exact specs on it such as weight and material makeup. It is available on ebay for what seems to be a decent price from a company called Powersports Accessories.
I have done quite a bit of searching and the cheapest (after shipping) online dealer I could find for a warn plow was the following.

Please share any info you find.

Well I went with a Moose Country plow, I also did a lot of research into the plows. I have owned a Glacier plow (when I was riding a Polaris) and it seemed to work well but it was on the light side so I was looking for something a little heaver. Warn and Cycle Country seemed to me to be built cheaply although warn is suppose to be coming out with a new plow, I could not find any info on them just an add in my ATV magazine last summer. So Moose was the best choice for me I hope!! Cant wait to see how it works!!

I was in the same boat about 3 weeks ago. I had looked at them and played with them in the dirt. Betwee nMoose and Cycle country.
They are both durable, but cycle country now has teflon coated paint so the dirt and snow do not stick. I like the cycle country it is heavy about 76LBs for the blade. It made with 12 gauge steel Blade, mount, and push tube.
My 2500 lbs winch won't hold it all the way yp in place it will drop about 2 inches for the winch to hold.
The con about cycle country plow is the GC is reduced by about 4-5 inches, but it sure does sqaud the 700 Yamaha griz.
I chose the cycle country due to the 60 inch being blakc teflon and not yellow and how they felt strong and a freind has had one for a few years and nothign has happened to to. So far I have used the cycle country to push rocks out of my yard and then hook a chain and pull them to a field rock pile.
The warn my uncle has one. He has bent his pushing gravel.
Moose is a good plow made by parts unlimited, but only come in yellow in a 60 in blade.

Am I understanding you right when you said that you feel the Warn plow is built cheaply? I bought one in 2002. Mine is very well built. I have really abused it and it has held up. Have they changed since then?

Well compared to the Moose Plow and push tube, the Warn plow seemed to be much lighter. Just my opinion, if you like the Warn and are having good luck with it that is great. I posted this question in August in the hopes to get some feedback to help with my decision but unfortunately no one responded until just this week!
