Default Electric problem with 2001 Honda foreman

When I turn the ignition the lights show me R and N at the same time. It will start but the electric shift won't work. I tried changing to a New ignition and same problem. Fuses are fine? Thanks in advance for all the tips.

Sounds to me like a gear position switch is bad or the wiring is shorted

Did you check the gear position coupler and the coupler for the dash for water/moisture ..

I forgot to mention that when I bi-pass the ignition, meaning putting all ignition wires together, it works great! The last time I went out I used an electrical "Marrett" to keep the wires together and the electric shifter worked great the whole week-end! Thanks
