Hey- looking for some help- on a 2006 Model of the LT-Z50. I just bought this for my daughter-it probably has only 10 hours on it. The other night it died hard (wouldnt start with the pull start either) so I ran the trickle charger on it- then nothing.

Today I went to the dealer and replaced the battery and the spark plug (OEM) and when I went to start it, the fuse blew hard and one of the two black packs (which sit behind the battery under the seat) started to smoke? I think one is a starter control mod and the other is probably the main control mod?

I was like what the heck? So I swapped the fuse with a spare- and the same thing happened. Its almost new- and I even went with the 5 year extended warranty (my first quad..although I have a 06 CBR1000RR and have had 3 other street bikes).

Any ideas? I could drop it off at the dealer- but I hate waiting 3 weeks to get it back since everyone is always backlogged. Also Im curious. Im curious if anyone else has had this same issue?
