Default Kazuma Falcon 90 new carb size

In my quest to help out this machine, I decided to go with a different aftermarket exhaust setup primarily used on the 4 stroke pit bikes. The current carb is a 16mm and the intake is an 18mm with a restrictor/spacer used in between the intake and the carb. I am buying a Mikuni carb and possible a new intake. I am unsure which size to buy. Was thinking of going with a 20mm and go from there.

Anyone think this will be too much? Not enough? Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks

I run a 26mm mikuni on my daughters sla 140 sunl its a 110cc. It was stock with a 19mm and was always running lean. I put on the 26mm and a high flow airfilter, and a high flow alum.performance pipe and muffler. It runs great and has twice the power of stock. You could get a 19mm mikuni and if not big enough you can rejet or go to the 26mm and try to lean it back. If its to rich use a better open element filter like a k and n and a performance exhaust will help too. The only problem with the 26mm carb is it might not fit without hitting the frame because its a bigger body carb.

I think I may try a 22mm. That is the opening in the head. I think I could just bore out my current intake and use it. Right now it is a 18mm intake on both sides, but you can see the castings for either 20mm or 22mm. I have the performance muffler and pipe coming, but have not purchased the filter because I was not sure what size to get. Even just taking off the old filter it runs 10 times better. Im hoping it will not be too much, but im thinking since it is a 90cc already, with a 22mm head opening, that is what is supposed to/should be there already. Which brand air filter did you goto? Im currently bending the tube for his nerf bars and have the webbing on order as well as a sewing shop that will make it. I also went with TRX90 tie rods and ends because the stock ones are just junk.

The 24mm mikuni's are way cheaper than the 22's. Not sure how that would affect things since my head opening is only a 22mm

Jetmoto has a high flow air filter that works good and so does k and n. Dont have the part number handy for the k and n but if you want it i will find it and post it for you.
