My father in law has a 99 trx 450. He says he has to replace the battery every year, because it is drained beyond recharging.Thats 1 problem.The other is that with a dead battery it doesnt shift electronically.I checked out the charging system and it seems fine, about 14 volts.It does have a draw from the ignition which i assume is normal but may be enough to kill a battery if it doesnt run enough.
