Default hub fluid

i have a 2003 scrambler400 4x4.i want to change the hub fluid bu nonr of the local dealers carry polaris premium hub fluid.what can i use in place of this without having any problems

you can use type F transmission fluid

Question... can Type F transmission fluid be used in all Polaris front hubs? For instance a '07 Hawkeye? Eight dollars a quart is pretty expensive for Polaris fluid IF Type F can be used.

Sure can. Type F is right in service manual for instead of demand drive hub fluid

Thanks, didn't think the Polaris stuff was some magic fluid, but I never considered transmission fluid. Curious... I use Mobil 1 transmission fluid in the transfercase on my Jeep. That should work ok shouldn't it?
