Got a question about a coil recently purchased a 89 Kawasaki Lakota 300cc atv the guy I bought it off said the coil was bad on it are they any way I can check the coil or someway to see if the coil is bad also the starter is not turning over with the coil out does this sound right...I got the atv so cheap I wasn't really worrying about this situation when I bought the atv I got it so cheap...HELP!!!

You can follow the test procedure from a factory service manual. Maybe a dealer would copy it for you. You might find it in a clymer's manual as well.
