2001 500 HO Front AWD Problem
#1
I have a Polaris 2001 500 HO DUSE and I'm having trouble with my front hubs engaging. After doing some trouble shutting in have found that I'm only getting .98 volts, less then one volt out of the AWD plugs under the front cover where the front coils plug in from the AWD hand switch.
When I turn on the AWD switch, the light will not light up when in all gears. I did a continuity test across the light wires and it has continuity across the light so the AWD indicator light bulb is good.
At the AWD hand switch, the plug is labeled A thru F.
A-is a BLK wire is showing 13.88 when running and in all gears and natural.
B-is a BRN wire is the ground wire.
C-is a BRN/WHT wire is showing .98 volts with the AWD switch on and .77 volts off.
D-is a GRY wire is showing .98 volts with the AWD switch on and .77 volts off.
E-is a GRY wire is showing .98 volts with the AWD switch on and .77 volts off
F-is a GRY/WHT wire is showing 13.88 when running and in H/R/L gears and 0 volts in natural.
Any help would sure be appreciated.

I sent you a pm. The e and f terminals are for the awd switch. The c and d is the light, the other two are for the etc switch. Do you have an ohmmeter? Ohm the e and f terminals and see if the switch is good or bad. Continuity in the on position, infinite resistance in the off position. You have voltage going to it, but nothing coming out. It could be the switch is all. When you checked for voltages at the connector, I assume it was still plugged in. Was it?
