07 Honda Rincon Engine Vibration
#1
Hi just yesterday I bought a new 07 Rincon GPScape and LOVE it to death except for one thing. The engine seems to vibrate more than I would have thought especially for a Fuel Injected engine. It vibrates more at idle than while riding, but does it a little at riding as well. If I sit in neutral and lightly accelerate it shakes the bike and is somewhat annoying. I have a Kawasaki V force V Twin and it is smooth as silk. Also My brother has a 2006 Honda Rancher 350ES and his non fuel injected quad does not vibrate near as bad as mine? Is this normal? Will it start to go away when the engine breaks in? The salesman said it can take 20 hours and then it should get better.
Maybe I am just not used to the quad but I would think for a FI quad and a Engine made by Honda it should have less engine vibrations? Thanks for any input.
Brian.

Why would fuel injection have anything to do with it? It just sprays the fuel. It is a large bore single cylinder engine. Thats why you have the vibration.
The V Force has two smaller cylinders that I am guessing cancel each other out. The Rancher is also a much smaller bore .

Hi Brian,
I'm Brian too...and I just bought an 07 Rincon the other day. Havent noticed any vibration, but I did notice that the hatch for the small storage compartment on the front left fender disappeared on me while riding....just blew off on the trail, and its gone !! $25 for a new one...so watch out !! I like the ATV other than that.

I know my Rancher is a lot quieter since the 20 hour check. I had a slight back fire going down hills its gone. The engine almost sounded like a knock at low speed in 4th gear thats gone also.
