My father in law is looking to add some real low end power to his 05 Rubicon. What can he do besides filter, jet , and pipe. He's really likes the idea of a plug and play CDI but doesn't know if anyone makes one for a Honda. Any info appreciated.

Leave the stock pipe on, you won't gain anything by putting on an inferior pipe.
You can't buy a better air filter than the stock one, so I wouldn't waste money on that either.
As far as the CDI goes, I don't know of anyone making one for it.

 

Come on now. Somebody out there has got to have a suped up Rubicon or is there truly a big hole in the market for these bikes?

 

I don't know of many mods available. I do believe there is a clutch kit but not sure how much it might help. That's one reason I got rid of my Rubicon..not many mods and. I felt, low on power. Check out http://www.rubiconriders.com

they already have low= end torque. use low gear, Its a muddin bike not a race bike. If you want fast, get a 2wd.
