Default early to mid 90s racing quad price?

My Brother is offering to sell me his yamaha racing quad...it is a 250cc bored out to 300cc and has alot of guts...However he is asking $1800CND for it... I want to know your guys's idea of a more reasonable price.

The quad has no back brakes (disc is there but the master cylindar and everything else is gone)

a couple of the fenders are cracked and it needs new brake pads in the front. it has no tach or speedometer and the clutch is iffy.

on the plus side you can catwalk it in third (its a six speed) with out any effort. and its nice and light lending to really nice jumps.

I was thinking more like $300-$600 but would like a second opinion. I am not sure of the exact age or model of the quad.

Find out the name of it...... maybe a Blaster? If it is, that would have been 200CC. Or maybe a Honda 250X? No matter what it is, sounds like your brother is about to rip you off.
