Default Shifting question.

Well I just recently got my warrior and it is the first time I'm ever shifting, but I've got the shifting concept down and everything, but I have one problem and it's taking off from neutral. I don't get it, I was watching youtube videos and people take off from just standing real quick, but when I do it, I slowly release the clutch as I slowly push the throttle and then I'm off. Before when I didn't get it, I would just drop the clutch and the quad would jump up a bit, but then I got it, but I still take off very slowly. Am I doing something wrong? Can I take off faster in any way?

just practice taking off, you'll get the hang of it... and they aren't starting from neutral.. they pull in the clutch in 1st gear and then launch..

Yeah I know that's what I meant. I guess after a while I will figure out just how slow I have to drop the clutch and stuff, I guess.

Trick is to increase pressure on the throttle as you let out the clutch, so the engine speed stays about the same. As you practice, you can do the same thing faster and faster, till your doin just what u see everybody else doing.

you don't just drop the clutch.. that's something i learned when i was stunting.. it's all about fast engagment.. clutches are cheap anymore and really aren't that bad to change.

Yeah just practice it takes some getting used to if it's your first time. One thing I've noticed with warriors is if the clutch cable and perch is worn it makes learning harder as it is not smooth.

^^ definitely, clutch cables are only $10 and very easy to replace.
