07 800 X2 dlx loud squealing noise
#1
On a steep decent in 2wd hi or I get a loud squeal as I pick up speed. If I give it just a little throttle it goes away. The machine moves to slow in AWD hi w/the adc for the noise to show up.
Any clues what the problem is?
The dealer said I should be in low gear AWD on a steep hill.
some added info, the dealer replaced the driven clutch because it had the wrong one in it and I would hit the rev limiter at half throttle

From what you've described it does sound like the engine braking system or some part of the brake system. Does the sound come from the front or rear of the vehicle? I would also try the steep downhill in low to see if it squeals then. I heard a similar noise when I was in 2 hi going down a pretty steep hill. But, my quads only have the regular EBS, not the ADC.

stendori... mine does in hi not in low also. Is it normal?? My 05 500 ho never did it on the same hill.

The belt will start to squeal as it wears! It is starting to wear and stretch. The belt is slipping on the ebs one way bearing as you go down the hill.
Of coarse you should be in low range if the hill is steep enough to need EBS/ADC.
