I have been having problems starting my quad recently. On occasion, it will not start when using the elecric starter. You can start it up, go on a ride, stop for any reason, then it won't start. However, you can pull start it. The electric starter works fine and it does engage in the flywheel. Spark is also good. Compression doesn't seem to be a problem. I have tried putting in a new battery, new plug, but that didn't help.

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

Welcome to the forums Billt7361.

Have you actually checked the compression with a gauge? Our 03 was starting fine when cold, but after warming up, would be hard starting or not start at all. Got a compression checker and the compression was low. Anything below 90, and it's time for a top end rebuild.

I had a friend of mine check the compression and it was around 110. If compression was a problem, I wouldn't think that it would pull start.

might try a leak down test to see if the crankshaft seals are leaking.
