I am looking to buy a used Polaris ATv. The guy was telling me it is a 2000 425 magnum. I could not find any info on it. Now he thinks its is a 325. How can we tell the size and year. His title has an engine number 0009366 and was bought in 1999. Is there anywhere we could find info from a serial number. Thanks

You should be able to take the VIN # to a Polaris dealer and ask them to look up the specifics. Be honest and tell them what you are up to and don't ask for any personal info on the current owner. I have done it before on vehicle service records. Guy told me that one dealer did all of the required maintenance and dealer had records, but not all service had been performed. Still bought the 1999 Xplorer 300.
