very hard starting
#1
now that I got the other problem fixed. I thought my long cranking time to start would be fixed. basicaly when hot starts right up. but when cold it takes whole battery and a charger/starter to start. with or with out choke doesent matter. any ideas? both my lt80's have the same problem.

all new top end, new clutch. dun when cold takes forever to start. wears battery down and I have to hook up starter box( battery charger on start mode) then will come around and fire. once started and still warm will kick off fast. once cooled get the starter box out. carb is clean as a wistle.

Since you disconnected the oil injection are you leaving the fuel valve on prime? Is there excessive smoke when it does start? Wonderin if fuel is seeping through the carb into the case when it sets for awhile. Makes things rich, wets the plug & hard to start. Just a thought

no excessive smoke! I thought the same but plug is dry before start up. pulled the plug 1/2 way through starting procedure and is still dry. tryed on prime to see if petcock was screwed still doesend get wet. have to choke and hold on gas to get started. after way to much cranking.
