Im eating some lunch and its off to the garage. its cold so I will adjust befor starting and see if it helps. whats funny is the writing about engine not snapping when throttle is stabbed. ther is no snap to eather of my 80's so I will give it a try and let you know later. thanks again

 

well I was wrong. (please dont tell my wife) plug wet after sitting. pulled plug after 5 secondes of cranking. piston and plug very wet. so I went to the other one and held it WFO no choke. and it poped off. both have rebuilt carbs. but both have leaking petcocks flooding the motor. going to put shut offs on see how that works. petcocks drip 1 drop every 2 seconds on run not prime. will let you know

 

Be careful! Fuel seepage into the cylinder can seep past the rings and cause oil dilution. Pull dipstick and smell, if you smell gas better change the oil.

 

no oil in crankcase its a 2 stroke... but you are correct!

 

Glad you're making progress. They'll probably be a little snappier after they run for awhile & clean out.
Should go through the carbs again. When the're right they shouldn't leak even when the tank valve leaks. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
