I got a good deal on a very well built plow for my Wolverine today, but there is one problem... I can't figure out a way to lift the blade. The bike it came off had a winch, which is how the plow was operated. I need to modify it to use a manual lifting device, but I'm not sure how. I was hoping someone here had built one before, or has some idea of how I can do it. The plow is built fairly heavy, so a leaver near the pivot point in the back is out of the question. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I saw one that used a cable over the front rack with a couple of pulleys. I don't know how heavy the plow is but with a little inginuity, you should be able to lift it witout much problem.

I had the same problem. Right now I use a come-a-long hooked on the front rack with the handle in the center of the handle bars. With one crank up it picks the plow up about 4". Then I just release the locks and let it fall down. It's crude, but it works until I can come up with something better.

I believe that most after-market accessory manuf. offer something called a plow actuator that is supposed to be cheaper than a winch(kimpex, etc.) Also I don't think that the whole mounting assembly built for your quad is expensive, although I built my own that uses my winch. The one for your quad probably comes with a manual lift handle, and they are kinda slick
