Among the manufacturers Honda is the best seller......and the lowly little Rancher is Honda's best seller!

I think that says volumes! While a small but very vocal segment of the market (like maybe the rednecks that hang out at Highlifter?), wants "feature laden big bore" utilities, what the majority wants is just a high quality, sweet handling, ~400cc trail quad at a good price!!

It appears that the only manufacturer to gain any significant market share in ATVs are Suzuki and Can-Am. The ones who suffered from their increased marketshare has been Polaris, Yamaha, and Kawasaki.

I'm convinced Honda sells best based on reputation and name recognition. Let's face it... not too many new quad buyers really know what they need in a quad. Most already know which brand they want before they start shopping.

If the marketing team for BRP's ATV products would rename the Outlander to something like "turf-doo", they'd sell a lot more of 'em. Not because it's a cool name but it's a somewhat recognizable name.
