i have a trx250ex and cant get another fourwheeler and im building it up and want to know how hard it would be to keep up with a 350

What kind of "350" are you wanting to keep up with? A utility 350 shouldn't be too hard to outrun, a sport 350 (yamaha warrior) would be a pretty good challenge, a two stroke 350 (banshee) would be very near impossible. Speed is money, how fast do you want to spend?

Also, where is your EX lacking? You already have the main engine bolt ons based on your sig. That leaves you with motor work and/or suspension work. IMHO, be happy with what you have and save for something faster because the amount of $$ you are going to put into that Honda to make it compete might be better spent on a bigger machine. If you are looking to match up with a Warrior for drag times or whatever it isn't going to happen without a major cash infusion. From what I have seen, you could just buy a used Warrior or even 400EX for less than it will cost to mod the 250 out.

I agree. Just remember the rider skill has more to do with how fast you go, rather than the horsepower (unless its a drag race accross the sand).

it would be hard for me to get a new fourwheeler because a used warrior would be lucky 800 and up and id be spending a few hundred for bore and piston

A bore and piston alone will not come close to Warrior speeds straight line. Trust me, you will spend more than what a decent used one will cost before you finally acheive the speed you are looking for. Best bet, be happy with what you have, 'cause you are still ridin', right? Save your pennies, work an odd job, be patient and something natively faster will come along.

I have a 92 250x and have no problems keeping up with my buddies 350. In fact we were side by side till around 5th gear then he would slowly pull
