If you are like me, having a starting problem on my 450r, or ER actually, starter motor turns but not engaging the engine, mine was under a recall. they called it a "reduction Gear" problem. Dealer checked vin # and said it actually had 3 recall campaigns on my quad, this starter reduction gear and the control arm corrosion problem and another one that I cannot remember at this time....but if you are having same problem, there is a recall despite previous posting on this site. I ride an 06 as well. my starting clutch went out. It was weak springs in the clutch on mine. A-arms too. The third recall was with the throttle I believe. I never checked into the throttle recall.
