hey fellow atv riders, i'm new to this, but have just received 2-250cc water cooled atvs from T-motorsports in laverne, california. after much research and reading your comments, especially xavier's detailed report on hi-bird, i took the plung and bought 2 for my two boys. ok, he question is what kind of oil do i put in them (poor instruction manuels, as expected). these atv's arrived in great condition and looks nice for the price of $1745 for 2. thanks in advance.

Hi bimmerman, I purchased my 2 ATVs from tmotorosports as well. They were great to deal with. I got a 110cc for my 5year old son, and a 250cc water-cooled for myself. We've rode them every morning since last Saturday. Everything has been great so far. You might want to get better antifreeze/coolant also. Are you in California also? I was able to pick mine up from their location in La Verne (80 miles away from me).

thanks fellows, after 2 days i've finally completed putting both 4-wheelers together. i changed the oil...oops..i used penzoil instead of valvoline..10/40..i don't think it will matter. i also, put anti-freeze coolant in water-cooled radiator. charged up the batteries and will fire both up tomorrow...thanks again.

i got 2-250cc water-cooled for my two boys and had them shipped to Georgia...not a bad price ( i thought). Atv's look great now that they are together. Tim is a good guy to deal with...fast shipping (3days max.)...did you use loctite on your bolts and turn front wheels inside out (as mentioned by others)...have fun!!

ok guys, after 1 day rain delay, i fired up both 250cc atv's. 1st one started after a little persuading, i let it run for 30minutes or little more, then gave it a whirl. boy does it feel good and a bit loose. Now it cranks right up. 2nd one i had to get another battey from autozone, charge it, before it would start (again after a little sweet talk). boys are happy and getting use to manul shifting. question? my oil seems to have changed color (through side glass)...any concerns?...i may change it again to be on the safe side. both atv's continue to run and run. finding the right gear i little annoying (only N & R) buttons light. once i find 1st then 2nd, i'm crusing.....oh yeh, found retainer clip had pinched gas supply hose...leak...cut hose...problem solved....for the money paid...it looks like a fun spring, summer...etc...

When you say changed color, what color is it?

Chocolate milk color may be water in your oil. Could be something as simple (easy to say) as a gasket, or could be the sign of something a lot more expensive.
