follow-up, after changing oil 2nd time, i don't think this is water mixture. atv's run fine...although forgot to change filters....does anyone know if honda atv filter will fit chinese 250cc atv or where can i get oil filter? i think the dark oil color came from original oil filter and original oil. anyway, boys are happy with these entry level atv's...happy new year!

 

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]After, another week of receiving 2 chinese atv's and ? of dark oil after changing oil (but not filter...forgot)...Both atvs start and run fine....i'm satisfied with these 2 atvs and for what i paid...these are worth the buy and would recommend to others as opposed to the big 4 and the high price of entry into the atv world....have fun!!!

 

Thats cool your happy with your purchase bimmerman! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Is the new oil still dark colored? I wouldnt think that the engine uses a oil filter but anything is possible.

 

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] the oil is not as dark as it was when i 1st changed it, on the 2nd change the oil is now semi-clear....and both atv start well and runs well...No smoke....i assumed the reason for the semi-dark appearance is that i did not change oil filter (not sure if there is oil filter, although there is an area on the engine which i think holds the filter). thanks guys
