if they were the same price what would you do?

Hello there, just getting into the market for my first atv and am looking for advice.
I plan on using it in wooded trails, local gravel pits and plowing snow.
I also have three little ones who will be wanting rides so I'd have to add a quadboss seat to the grizzly.
At the local dealers a 2007 deluxe X2 polaris is the same price as a 2008 grizzly. I like the extra length for kids on the X2 but also like the sound of power steering on the griz....have a lower back issue so thought the grizzly steering would be a benefit.
Going to look at the grizz. today and hopefully the X2 early this week.
I was really wondering what people who are familiar with both units would think??
Thanks very much.

If they are the same price it would be really hard for me to pass up the 2 seater in that case. You will find that many public places do not allow 2-up riding anymore UNLESS you are on a machine specifically designed for it. Might want to check and see if this would be an issue for you. Both are great machines that you would be happy with though.

My brother has the 500 Sportsman X2, my brother-in-law has the 700 Grizzly... the big difference noticed is on tighter trails where the extra length of the X2 makes it kinda cumbersome as far as turning goes. But the ride as a passenger on that particular machine is fantastic. The power steering on the Grizz is a tough option to pass on though... Yamaha really did it right, they've set the bar high on this feature and now I belive the sales reflect their advances in technology. Everywhere we go... people ask "Is that the bike with power steering?" cool eh?!

customer service is definetly a big part of the experience I will never buy from one dealer in my town because customer service is horrible. But the one I ride I bought locally because the dealer bends over backwards for you.

Customer service for me too is pinacle. I paid a bit more for my bike but if you think of it one way I kinda pre-bought the service. When I walk into my local Yamaha store it's like "Norm walkin' into Cheers" or somethin' like that. Anyway, I'd still say even just for looks the Grizzly is sharper than the sort of out dated Polaris X2. MY $0.02.

All we have up here is 6 month warranties, Some times the ATVs do not leave the garage for 5 months in the winter,so the warranties are over before you even know you had one.

My uncle rides the X2 Polaris and it goes EVERYWHERE! Anywhere we take our quads he is right there will us. He had a Honda Rancher, upgraded to an artic cat, then got his X2 and wont let anyone else ride it he kept them all and says ride the Honda or AC but don't touch his quad We ride trails only
