Aftermarket Rims on sportsman??
#1
Anyone ever run an aluminum rim like sport quads use on a 4x4 sportsman? I'm talkin about rims like Douglas .160 or .190 black label rims? Thinking of trying this setup on a 96 sportsman 400 with a swingarm. They make the right size rim and bolt pattern for it. Would like to see pics of this style rim on a 4x4. thanks

I have had the same thought and have not seen any yet, only concern is if the they will hold up, I like to get a little air on my 04 sp500. The other after market alum. rims seem a lot thicker material, I would think the douglas type would get bent, I could be wrong. I run douglas .160 on my wifes 03 400 scrambler, with no problems but thats a bit lighter.

i've got Douglas .190 red label on my 2x4. i broke 2 sets of factory steel rims on the rear. i had good luck with the .190's. and their alot lighter than the steel rims so you'll pick up some in the performance area
