Default 97' Sportsman with no Spark

Recently my 97' Sportsman 500 does not want to start. I checked everything over and found that i was not getting any spark to my plug. After doing a bunch of test it seems my stator may be bad. Are these common to go bad? I am not getting any power to my CDI box. I checked the values for each coil test on a meter and got two different readings in ohms. Does any one know what the readings shoud be? The manual does not say. I would rather not bye a new stator until i know it is this for sure. Any help would be appretiated.

The Stator is the most expensive part, they take a betting when water and dirt gets by your pull cord handle and into the recoil housing. The are places that sell them rebuilt for just over $100 online. like these guys

you should get between 60-80 ac volts from source coils and 5 volts from pickup coil. stators are the most common part to go bad.
