Hi Gordo, yes, put the shaft through the new bushing, then put on the seal, then both steel washers, then the castle nut and cotter pin. And take a few minutes to clean off any old grease from all the parts, and coat them with fresh wheel bearing grease before reinstalling them.

HTH,
Dave

Your welcome. I just installed the same bushing on a friends quad the other day. You made the right choice by purchasing what you did, and not another stock polaris bushing.

Ride safe,

Dave

Any suggestions on how to replace rear sprocket. The one on the axle looks easy it is the one coming of the transmision......or should I just by the manual?

I dont really know. What machine are you working on? I would think that if you could change the rear sprocket, you could change the front sprocket also without a manual. Take your time, and think things through, you can figure it out.

When you install the HPD bushing, do not use the plastic washer. It will wear out, fall off, and cause your steering post to have about 1/2" play up and down. Instead, go to a hardware store and get a stainless steel washer of the same size, and use it. This has happened to three of my friends, including me.
