330 trailboss won't idle
#1
New polaris owner here. I just bought an 03 Polaris trailboss 330. The bike has very low hours and sat for a long time. It starts and runs but won't idle so I'm assuming a clogged pilot jet. Can the carb be turned in its boot and the float bowl removed while on the machine? I haven't had a chance to really examine it yet. I'm assuming the side panels come off for carb access?

I have a 2000 325 and I had the same problem. I found that the "ETC" contacts were touching. You can pop the top off the throttle control and see if yours has a set and see if they are touching. You can also start it and barely put your thumb on the throttle and see if it will idle. If so there is an adjustment nut about 1 foot down the cable from throttle that you can adjust to open the contacts up so they don't touch. I don't know if this will help you but you never know, it might save taking the carb. apart.
