Don't know anything about the 454 but check your gas tank vent to be sure the hose is not kinked. A number of people have had this problem which causes the atv to stall. Try running it at idle with the fuel cap off to see if that's the issue. Hope that helps. You might also try running some Sea Foam through it. If you have a dirty carb that will mosdt likley clean it out.

my first thought would be a partially plugged fuel filter or a carb issue. i had an old john deere snowmobile that did this and never figured out what it was, replaced the fuel filter and had the carb rebuilt but no help.
is it predictable? meaning does it always seem to stall at about the same run time
if so i would think fuel, if it varries with temp then it could be a heat soak issue meaning that as something gets hot it starts failing (coil, vaporlock in the fuel line...)
how long before it will restart?
