Default wont start or run unless fully choked

This 06 350 rancher ran fine when new, with only an hour of run time it was stored for a month and ever since that time it has to be fully chocked to run at all,,,, It will warm up eventually but it still isn't quite right,,,, the air filter is fine, no plugged lines as far as I can see, I can't find any fuel filter to check and I don't see any way to adjust the carb except for the idle screw???? help would be very much appreciated,,,, thanks

I'd say the carb has gotten gummed up from stale gas plugging or partially plugging one of the jets. For an easy fix get some carb cleaner to add to the gas and go for a good long ride, it may clean up that way, other then that you may have to get the carb taken apart and professioanlly cleaned.

I'd agree, after sitting it may have gummed up the carb. Most likely taking the carb off and spraying out the jets with carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air would be the cure.

Before you let it sit for weeks, turn the gas off and let it run until it drains the float bowl. If it's going to be months, some fuel stabalizer mixed in the gas would also be in order.

You are lean! Check for leaks in the intake boot, between the air filter and carb.

If that isn't the problem, cleand the carb and pay particular attention to cleaning the slow (pilot/idle) jet. (Most folks clean the carb and completely miss this!) Then, readjust the fuel screw. Get a service manual if you don't know what these are or where these things are located.....

definatly gummed up carb...<when you store it you should turn gas off and drain the bowl>...take out jets...they are clogged now if you have been riding it...
carb cleaner and air compressor werks well (JeffinTD)
