Amsoil

I have been using the polaris stuff forever. I have also used Mobil One. I may be able to get amsoil at cost through a friend so thats why I am wondering what people think about it. Price dosn't really matter becuase its only 2 quarts everytime. I just want the best stuff. Thanks.

What is "best" is more a matter of opinion/preference than fact. Mobil 1 and Amsoil are both high quality synthetic oils.</end quote></div>
I agree.......It's like all those posts about what's the best winch......everyone has their own opinions......

As stated before, both are quality oils.
One thing I also consider, is if I need a quart of oil on a Sunday, am I using a brand I can get. While Amsoil is a high quality oil, all the dealers around here are closed on Sunday. Some are on Saturdays as well.

For the Canadian readers Amsoil is sold at Canadian Tire, there everywhere and opened all the time. Mobile One, is sold at wall mart so thats a easy one to get also.

I DO NOT believe in ams oil "s 20,000 mile oil changes..i am the head eng tech at the local dodge dealer i i have seen more sludged up/just plain nasty engines that run ams oil than any other brand..in my past experiences mobile 1 is by far the best on the market..that is what we run i our drag truck and race vipers.. not to mention try to find a qt of ams oil on a sunday..my neighbor is a rep for ams oil and offered to let me demo a few oil changes and i ran screaming after seeing what it does first hand..

I use amsoil in my polaris atvs, my Yamaha road bike, my 98 Dodge 4x4 (engine, transmission, axles, transferr case), generators, weed eater, chain saw, never had a problem. I would run it in my Savage RC truck, if they made it. The truck oil changes are at 12,000 miles or 1 year. If amsoil claims are not true they would have been sued a long time ago, at least I have not seen any. Mobil 1 is good, but I prefer amsoil. I can purchase amsoil at the local market 24/7. Thats my 2 cents
