Default UPDATE.....2008 800 Touring rear passenger seat accessory

Hello...Just picked up my 2008 800 touring, and the one thing I wish it offered was an option for the passenger seat when not doubling. My brother has the CAN-AM 650 XT and they provide an accessory that replaces the rear seat when not doubling.

I have been unable to find anything on Polaris's website. Anyone else have this same wish, or any luck finding an accessory somewhere?

Thanks.

UPDATE:
Well, sure enough my dealer has a "Polaris" option for the rear seat of the touring models when not doubling. He has ordered me one in to see if I want it or not. The photo he showed of the option was a faxed black and white sheet and not very easy to see what it is that you are looking at. But from what I can make out it looks very much like the X2 dump box. You would simply replace the seat with the dump box. Looks like it came with a lid too, not sure. You won't find it online or in catalog. I cannot recall the prt number for it either.

Will post some pics if you are interested. Let me know.

You know it won't be long till someone comes up with a good accessory, it even has a lip around the hole to attach something to. Keep looking and let us know, I'll do the same.

Default 2008 800 Touring rear passenger seat accessory

Me and my father in law both bought the 500 touring models, we thought the same thing that it would be cool if they made something to fit in the hole where the passenger seat goes when a person is riding 1 up. I even thought of making something myself, all you would need is to buy the little stud coming off the bottom of the seat bracket and attach it to what ever you wanted to, maybe a storage box or drivers backrest etc. Just throwing some ideas around.

Arctic Cat's TRV models have their SpeedRack system, which does exactly what you wish you had. You can choose between passenger seat, rear racks, or cargo box. You shoulda bought a 'cat! LOL.
