Today when we were going riding. I was taking my raptor 700r. I cranked it up let it idle for a few min then took off. Oil was good and plenty of gas. Well we were going down this long straight away so i kicked it up in 5th and took off...next thing I know is it is bouncing of the rev limiter or that what it seems like. I was only going 52mph in 5th and it was bouncing of the rev limiter or that's what it sounded like. There was a wolverine 460 actually right beside me and usually of course I would just run off and leave him.

It seems like it revs out to early in every gear. I have not messed with the idle speed or rev limiter at all since I have had it. I have had it since november and it maybe has 8-10 hours on this maching. What could be my problem? I know I still have my factory warrenty cause it hasnt been six months but does anyone have any suggestions to what this could be?

 

The only thing i could think it could be is a sensor but not sure i would just take to your dealer if i were you.

Are you sure the clutch isn't slipping?

 

yeah sorry 450 not 60...hit the wrong key. Yeah I am positive the clutch isnt slipping.

 

Another thing is this. I know your not really supose to do this but once before i reved it to the limiter when it was in neatrual....well I did it again and its sounds like its hitting it way earlier...the quad cranks and runs fine still has all the power...just wants to rev out quicker.
