Winch problem

has anybody ever had a winch make a strange ticking noise when working with no load
and it also doesnt free wheel
I think its in the dial on the end not engaging and disengaging properly

Winch problem

sounds like the free wheel mechanism is either broke or unhooked if thats possiable. just a guess.
