POLARIS 450 OIL OVERFULL
#6
not sure where they are on you quad. they'll look like little rubber gas line coming off the engine case going nowhere. works kindof like a pvc valve. if you have the owners manual it should show them.the gas tank has some and if it's carb it'll have some too

The only reading that matters is what it shows when you follow this procedure:
Straight from the manual
1. Set machine on a level surface.
2. Start and run engine for 20-30 seconds. This will return oil to its true level in the oil tank.
3. Stop engine, remove dipstick and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
4. Reinstall dipstick, screw the dipstick into place.
NOTE: The dipstick must be screwed completely in to ensure accurate measurement.
5. Remove dipstick and check to see that the oil level is in the normal range. The oil should be between the top line and the bottom line on the dipstick. Add oil as indicated by the level on the dipstick. Do not overfill.

Its not an ideal situation. Consider draining abit. They talk about being had on seals but don't know for sure. I over filled my 400ho by 16 oz, took 8 out. Seems to be ok but still overfill.

iput in the amount the manual says and never worry about being over or under when i change the oil and when i check it i start and run it for a bit then shut it off and check.
