Default oil cooler for '00 warrior

I'm just wondering if an oil cooler would benefit me or be a waste of $. the motor is stock with only a pipe and k&n. I don't race only trails.

Not necessary by any means, but it wouldn't just be a waste. Warriors tend to be good at finding a false neutral once the oil gets hot, and an oil cooler will be good to prevent that.

does anyone make a direct fit kit for it or would I have to piece my own together? I'm assuming I would have to tap into the side cover for it?

fourstroketech has an oil cooler kit that taps into the clutch cover, then routes the cooled oil to the cam, this is supposed to keep the cam and bearings supplied with cooler oil, the top of the motor will run hotter than the bottom. For a quick and easy add on, you can find an oil filter cover from a Big Bear or Wolverine, they com with oil line fittings on them, then pick up the oil cooler and lines from the BB or Wolvy, then you can attach it up front, and you are all set. You can also go to an auto parts store and get an oil cooler and fab up your own lines.

thanks. I'm gonna look up the cover for the wolverine. I plan on having this one for a while so anything to help it run better and last longer will help. how big of a cooler should I run? I will run braided lines for it also
