Default winch soleniod problem

Well I was out plowing on my 05 sportsman, hit the in button for the winch, and i got a click and then evrything went dead. Tried starting the machine no power, figured I blew a fuse. looked at the schematic no fuse just fuseable links, while I was looking for them I had touched the battery and the thing was cooking, so I new I had a short, disconnected both hot lines, did a continuity check to ground, and the hot line to the winch solenoid was shorted. I was hopeing the solenoid was the 8 post under warrenty, but it wasnt. I had the 4 post. Called the dealer they wanted 89 dollars for the new part, so like always I went to ebay and found one shipped for 22 bucks. See how well the cheap ones hold up. The warn solenoid didnt seem to hold up very well. Jusy some FYI for everybody.
