Getting a bike. which is better KX or YZ (2 smoker)

Looking at 05 and newer 2 stroke dirt bikes. What bike has the edge?

Yamaha YZ 250 all damn day! I've got a 2001 with a Wiseco piston, properly jetted and thats about it.....It is very tractable and quick as hell. I'm not one to jump on the "well it's faster/quicker/will outrun whatever"....but it it the quickest (not fastest) 250 I've ever had....

Cool! I'm looking more at the Yamaha since I have owned many Yamahas. very curios about the KX. my friend had one(KX) and it was nice but that was the early90s. thanks my friend!

There seem to be WAY more YZ's out there than KX's. That should tell you something right there. Back in the day when we all rode dirt bikes, the KX guy was always getting his butt whooped by the YZ's and CR's.
