carb question, rejetting a 400 4x4 cat
#1
guys please help.
my 2001 cat bogs at 29 mph and if you throw the choke open it will straighten out and go on as it should. you have to shut off the choke before you slow down or it will quit. dealer said carb was clogged, no way problem has been here since day one. i bought the next two sizes up main jets to swap out and see if that fixes the issue. anyone had this problem? cat runs great below 29 mph, got to be the jet size in my book.

Guys
Heres and up date on my 400 4x4 cat re-jetting of the carberator. it took about thirty minutes to change and I could see an instant change in the running. Bike hits harder just idling, throttles up without hesitation.
Throtted up to about 1500 RPMs and throwed the choke closed, WAM instant choke down meaning good gas flow, low on air supply. This is what you need to have happen in if gas flow is were it's suppose to be.
Prior to this it had a 150 main jet. I changed mine to a 152.50.
easy to do, shut off the fuel, lossened the two clamps and rotated it CCW till I could get at the bowl screws.
Looks like it has fixed my 29MPH bog down blues unless I throwed the choke open.
Piece of pie as the Russian say.
