no, it should only take an hour or so to rebuild the clutch, if you take it off and take it to them. if you don't fix it pretty quick, you'll wear a groove around the shaft on the inner sheave and then you'll be buying a new clutch.

looks like clutch time! Had the same problem....It could be the bearing under the pulley. Take clutch off, remove primary clutch, seperate pulleys,clean and grease the bearing under the sleeve that the belt rides on. Mine was rusted and broke apart and ball bearings on floor after observing bad part....$$$>300.00 for entire clutch[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
