two quick questions, vin nubmer and clutch
#1
Hello, I am new here (this is my first post). I have two questions. First is, I have a 2004 trail boss 330, and I want to keep it clean since I am using it at my office, so customers see it. In washing it (I use a high pressure washer) the vin sticker on the front (I guess we could call it a hood) is peeling off, and I looked under the seat and I see a paper sticker with the vin on it, but it is wearing off because of the water. My question is, is the vin number stamped (perminatally) somewhere, perhapse on the frame, or should I try doing that myself so I always have it?
Here is my second question. The owners manual says that this quad is rated to tow 850 pounds. I have put a hitch ball on it and am using it tow my trailers around the back lot. The trailers are 1900 punds. I take it easy, and I don't feel it slipping much once I am moving. my question is, if I ever had to re-build the tranny because of overloading it, what would that cost. (I would not want to do it myself, but if I had to because of big savings, I could)
Thanks in advanced.

there is a stamped vin number in the frame. not sure if theres a low range on that model but use it if there is would say alot on the drive train. alot of weight for that bike @1900 lbs.

Ok, I'll check that vin later. Yes I know thats alot of weight, but how long do you think it would last, and would it just be the clutch belt, so far in doing some research it seems like that would be easy to change, so if that is all that would go wrong, then how much is the belt, and how hard is it to change.
I believe the labor rate here is $80 per hour

if anything i would think you would smoke a belt first b4 tranny issues but it would all depend on what broke in the trans. for repair cost.

Ok, well, my guess is that the belt is the clutch, which slips under too much strain, which will save the tranny, so if that broke, how much is the belt, and how hard is it to change it
