when i pull the front brake on the handle bars there is no resistance? If i get going really fast and pull it nothing happens? Ive cleared out the tube with some gunk crap but nothing happend?

 

brakes on the recon are a joke. i have had mine replaced twice. everytime i go through mud and water the drums get filled up and then wreck the pads. the fronts just wear down extremely fast.

 

I have a 2000 that has the same issue. I bought it used but the front brake does nothing and there is no resistance. I believe it's supposed to be hydraulic (there's a box on the handlebar for the fluid) but I'm not sure. Can someone post a close up pic of one so I can look and see if mine's missing anything? Does anyone know if there are other issues with the front brake?

 

after i red more posts every1 hates the brake on the recon! every1 says it gets mudd/water in it.

my friends did the same thing too. but they started workin again after the rest of it stopped workin. his was a piece of crap. the exhaust kept fallin off, the brakes never worked, the rear axle would slide side to side at the bushings, and only the left headlight worked. they bought it new in early 2002. by the end of 03 it had spent about 3 months in the shop gettin the exhaust put back on and them workin on the brakes which would mess up by the next time he rode it. good wheelie machine tho. even when it barely worked it did good wheelies.

 

ok i have a 07 recon trx 250 and the front brakes have out even b4 i was a year old!!! i need help fixing them.....
