Weird.My choke is extremely hard to pull out.

My choke on my 2005 ds is seriosly stuck.I put some lucas grease on the choke lever and no luck.So maybe its inside the carb??I actually have to use vice grips just to pull the choke out to start.It goes in easy thow.Any ideas, the vice gripp are a pain..Info well apreciated.

MIne got hard to pull too. I used some carb cleaner and it seemed to do the trick. But it seems to do it after every wet and muddy ride, just repeat process " Carb Cleaner"

Pull the choke plunger out of the carb.
Clean the plunger with carb cleaner and then spray and wash out the cavity in the carb that the plunger goes into.
Wipe off excess cleaner so as not to discolor any metal.
Spray WD-40 into cavity and onto the plunger. Reassemble.
Do this twice a year.
Replace the factory breather tubes that run on each side of carb and are tied together above the carb. Buy enough and re-route the tubes down to the swingarm hole where the carb overflow tube exits. Tie the two tubes together just in front of hole.
