carb adjustment..
#1
Ok, guys...need a little help here. I have a 49.9cc Loncinengine and it looks like it's running lean. I can see the idle srew ( I think)..it's the one with the spring on it right? And to the left of it I see another screw that looks embedded in par of the engine cast. My question is...How do you adjust the fuel/air mix to make it richer?

you got the screws right. start by turning the air/fuel screw clockwise all the way in. be very easynot to tight. when you feel the screw bottom turn it counter clockwise two turns and go from there. my 50cc redcat was the same way. it was 1/2 screw out and wouldent run. hope this helps

It's a 4 stroke Loncin engine...choke is a cable choke...it ran perfect when we got it and then after a couple of days it was burning out the plug...running too rich...took it to a guy we know, and he messed with the carb screw and now it pops and won'r run without the choke full out and the throttle rammed down. Irritating, to say the least. Thanks for the advice!
